The huge success of the six-nation tournament began in the first year itself in 2011 and the International Hockey Federation (FIH) did not hesitate to recognise the only annual junior tournament which is also featured in the FIH’s annual calendar.

Aware of the importance of the tournament which has become the pride and identity of Bangsa Johor.

This year’s tournament will see Junior World Cup champions India making a return after staying away last year. India’s presence is certain to further add to the keen rivalry already seen among the participating teams in previous editions.

India are also the only team to have won the majestic handcrafted silverware twice and the only team to have achieved back to back victories. This was in 2014 and 2015.

Defending champions Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Great Britain make up the seventh edition of the tournament which will once again be held at the world class Taman Hockey Stadium from October 22-29.
